The twiinIT methodology offers a way to create a functional simulation system that can handle multiple physical components with ease. This is achieved by implementing a set of principles and established practices, along with using tools to identify defects during assembly.

Moreover, this simulation system can be transformed into a design system that can be adjusted according to the customer’s requirements and the supplier’s expertise. With its efficient execution, the simulation system can be utilized throughout product life cycle, calibrate itself to past performances, and extrapolate behaviour for the futur.

IPR / Licence

Our proposal is based on an open source library in python CoSApp, under a permissive BSD3 license and maintained by Safran. There are therefore no conditions for its use. twiinIT provides support for:

  • exploit the library to the maximum of its potential,
  • develop new functionalities according to the needs of its customers. The price of the service then depends on the quantity of work necessary for its realization.

Our typical support could be described as: twiinIT performs an audit of the existing system and assesses the ability to meet the needs expressed by the project, including:

  • the quality of the code and its documentation,
  • completeness of tests and guarantees of non-regression,
  • Modularity and ability to receive new features (including specific life cycle generator),
  • the ability to have solutions to accelerate IT performance.

Customers will be accompanied in the development of its skills in the use of the tool and associated development and use environments. Additional training will be provided at the end of the service to help the client take control of the new code capabilities.

The development and industrialization of tools is carried out in agile mode through a succession of sprints covering for example:

  • modelling the system in an “Excel engineers”,
  • the ability to configure and perform specific simulations,
  • Code robustness and software quality improvement
  • Finalization of work with documentation writing, testing, implementation of logbooks, and deployment tools

Use

The use of twiinIT’s technology allows to quickly have models available to perform the following tasks.

In the preliminary design phase, quickly evaluate the performance and feasibility of technical solutions imagined by design offices to meet the needs of their customers and thus propose optimized and innovative solutions.

In development, to promote specialists mutual understanding of the trades involved in the design of the solution, and thus drastically reduce the time needed to find the best compromises in design.

In operation, to have a multi-component and multi-physical digital twin that optimizes the use of the product, and to manage predictive maintenance by quickly identifying wear and tear or signatures of future failures.

The great value of the twiinIT technology is to accompany the entire product life cycle with a model capable of enriching and transforming itself according to the need. It is thus unnecessary to rebuild a new model for a new need or a new life phase, and the consistency of the models is guaranteed by construction.
