Twyn is a powerful software platform for Augmented Reality-enhanced quality control. It helps industries to fulfil quality promises faster & more efficient. Using AR, it enables to create & perform inspections of parts or assemblies based on digital twins: inspections are carried out faster, at higher inspection rates, directly on the spot – reducing scrap, downtimes and follow-up costs significantly.
Powered by Computer Vision, inspected items are automatically tracked, accurately aligned and matched against their CAD specification. Precise AR overlays make deviations of target & actual immediately visible, automatically highlighted by the auto-detection. An intuitive, digital documentation process allows creating reports with photo captures, markups and annotations directly, increasing traceability and enabling faster sharing of findings internally or with suppliers. As a mobile augmented reality platform for quality inspection, Twyn uses digital twins to make deviations between target & actual of manufactured items directly visible. What’s more, Twyn can be used off the shelf on a daily basis, with a minimal effort to setup AR-based inspections. It further requires no expert knowledge in AR and can be easily used by less (high-)tech experienced personnel, which is using the platform in their daily routines. Their goal is to ensure quality, not to become an expert in the field of AR.
